Funding for the Pegg Garden comes from grants (federal, provincial, municipal, and not-for-profit agencies), private and corporate donations, and fund raising events. The family of George Pegg donated the 12.6 acre homestead site to Lac Ste. Anne County. Members of the George Pegg Botanic Garden Society maintain and promote the site, on behalf of the County. Lac Ste. Anne County provides annual financial and material support. The County Horticulturist works with the Society to oversee horticultural aspects of the Garden.
As a designated Provincial Historic Resource, restoration work undertaken at the Pegg Garden is approved by Alberta Culture. Project costs are funded in part by the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation, a public trust foundation.
In 2014 and 2015 Pegg Garden Received funding to develop and lead Wetland awareness days for grade 5 students in Lac Ste. Anne County.
The Pegg Garden is a member of the Rural Rendezvous tourism group.
Pegg Garden has received funding through the Community Investment Program.
